Shehnai: Directed by PL Santoshi, this was the film that released in theatres on August 15, 1947. It became the fifth highest grossing film of that year, starring Kishore Kumar, Indumati, Radhakrishnan, VH Desai and Rehana. Later, Santoshi made the classic ‘Barsaat Ki Raat (1960)’ starring Madhubala and Bharat Bhushan.
