Mumbai. Sonakshi Sinha, who is enjoying the success of ‘Hiramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, is being talked about for her marriage. Many reports claimed that she is going to marry her rumoured boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal on June 23. Her father Shatrughan Sinha has also given permission for this. Although Sonakshi and Zaheer have not commented on these claims yet, actor-turned-politician Shatrughan has broken his silence on the marriage rumours. Shatrughan said that Sonakshi has not told him anything.
Shatrughan Sinha said that nowadays children do not ask for permission to get married. Instead, they inform their parents about their decision. He said, “I am in Delhi right now. After the election results, I came here. I have not talked to anyone about my daughter’s planning. So your question is whether she is getting married? The answer is that she has not told me anything about it.”
Shatrughan Sinha further said, “I know as much as I have told the media. If she takes me into confidence, my wife and I will give our blessings to the couple. We always wish for their happiness.” He said that he is confident that Sonakshi will take the right decision for herself.
Shatrughan Sinha said, “We have full faith in our daughter’s decision. She will never take a decision that is unconstitutional or illegal. As an adult, she has the right to take her own decisions. Having said this, I would like to say that whenever my daughter gets married, I would like to dance in front of the baraat.”
Shatrughan Sinha said that he too has received many calls about the alleged marriage, but he has very little information about this marriage. He said, “People close to me are asking me why I do not know about this (alleged marriage), and the media knows about it. All I can say is that today’s children do not take the consent of the parents, they only give information. We are waiting to get information.”
