New Delhi. The Supreme Court has given a big decision on the controversial film ‘Humare Barah’. SC has stayed the release of the film till the matter is settled by the Bombay High Court. Anu Kapoor’s film first had a controversy over the title of the film, after which the makers had to change the name of the film. When the trailer was released, the matter got so worse that the trailer had to be removed within 24 hours of its release. Not only ‘Humare Barah’, there are two more such films, which are facing a lot of controversy. One film is the debut film of the superstar’s son.
The film ‘Humare Barah’ is being accused of spreading hatred against a particular religion and there is a demand to stop its release. Meanwhile, Annu Kapoor’s film ‘Humare Barah’ has not got any relief from the bench headed by Justice Vikram Nath. This film was going to be released yesterday (14 June). It is not only Annu Kapoor’s ‘Humare Barah’, there are two more films on which there is a lot of uproar.
Bombay High Court’s decision challenged in Supreme Court
In fact, today the Supreme Court also heard the petition filed against the film ‘Humare Barah’. The producer of the film had agreed to remove two dialogues, after which the Bombay High Court recently allowed the release of the film. The decision of the Bombay High Court was challenged in the Supreme Court. The petitioner alleges that the film is offensive to the Islamic faith and married Muslim women in India. Whereas, the filmmaker says that it is about population control.
The Supreme Court stayed the release till the case was settled
The Supreme Court has stayed the release of the film till the Bombay High Court resolves the matter. It has also requested the High Court to dispose of the petition expeditiously. The petitioner said that the CBFC itself is a party to the petition filed in the Bombay High Court and how can its own committee screen the film? The petitioner said that the CBFC had formed a committee for the screening of this film. After the screening, the CBFC committee had suggested removing the teaser and some parts of the film, which were removed and after that the High Court had given permission for the release of this film.
Jain organization is angry about this film
Apart from this, there are two more films, which are facing controversy. One of them is ‘Love Ki Arrange Marriage’, whose romantic song has angered the Jain organization. In fact, an advocate of Delhi High Court is going to file a complaint on behalf of Vishwa Jain Organization to remove the romantic song filmed at the famous Jain Siddha Kshetra Sonagir Tirth from the movie ‘Love Ki Arrange Marriage’. This movie is also going to be released on June 14. Earlier on June 7, 2024, a legal notice was also sent by the organization to the movie producer and its associates. A complaint has also been made to the National Commission for Minority in this regard on June 8.
Bajrang Dal’s allegation regarding the film ‘Maharaj’
The third film is Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan’s debut film ‘Maharaj’, against which Bajrang Dal filed a petition in Mumbai’s Dindoshi Court. Apart from banning the release of the film, the petition also demanded screening of the film by a special committee under the supervision of the court. It is alleged that Hindu religious leaders have been shown in a negative light in the film. Therefore, Bajrang Dal feels that this film can hurt the sentiments of a section of the audience. This can also create a law and order situation.
