New Delhi. During an interview, Bollywood’s veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah spoke openly about the results of the Lok Sabha elections and Hindu-Muslim politics in the country. During this, he made a big statement about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Along with this, he also criticized the Muslims who made small things an issue and drew everyone’s attention to the wrong things. If they had not done this, no one could have misled the Muslims. He also said that Narendra Modi is not the first person who spoke against the Muslims. Such politics has happened before as well.
Naseeruddin Shah, while talking to ‘The Wire’, talked about BJP not getting majority in the Lok Sabha elections. According to Naseeruddin Shah, everyone should think about this and talk about correcting it in the right way. He said that it is very easy to oppose anything but it is very difficult to support anything. According to the report, Naseeruddin Shah said – It is very easy to blame Narendra Modi for whatever is happening in the country. But is this true? No! Because even before Modi came to power, there were many wrong things in the country. Modi has just touched those wrong things again and given them air which were suppressed.
used to taunt on others religion
Naseeruddin Shah does not stop here, he says that he was taunted for being a Muslim. He recalled those moments when people said a lot of nonsense about him and his religion. Further, remembering his childhood days, he said- I remember that in childhood I was taunted for being a Muslim and I also used to taunt others on their religion. All these things were already there. Naseeruddin Shah called Narendra Modi a very clever person and said that he has deliberately touched many things.
The mistakes of Muslims were counted
Naseeruddin Shah further explained where Muslims did wrong and others took advantage of it. He said- The truth is that Muslims are also not clean. Muslims always focused on wrong things. When they should focus on education and increasing the knowledge of their community, they were focusing on hijab, the length of Sania Mirza’s skirt. When modern things were to be taught, they focused on pushing them into madrasas. All this is the fault of Muslims. He further appealed to the Muslim people to stand up again and talk about the issue.
Modi is just following tradition
According to Naseer, Narendra Modi is not the first leader to oppose Muslims. On anti-Muslim comments, he said that he (Modi) is not the first leader to do so. Yes, but he has entered at the right time. Hindu Mahasabha was formed in 1915 in response to Muslim League. I don’t remember the names of two Bengali people but they started talking about 2 Nation Theory. These things were said when the freedom struggle was in its last phase. In those days, Hindus and Muslims were completely united. Naseer says that Modi is following a tradition that was followed by many leaders long ago and now many leaders are carrying forward this tradition together. Yogi Adityanath is also in this list who still says that Hindus and Muslims cannot live together.
