Munjya BO Collection: Mona Singh-Sharvari Wagh’s ‘Munjya’ continues its momentum, saw a huge jump on the second day

New Delhi. Mona Singh and Sharvari Wagh’s film ‘Munjya’, which released last Friday, is performing better than expected at the box office. Despite not having any big star, this film has made a good start at the ticket window. Looking at the advance booking of the film, it was being estimated that the film’s earnings on the first day would be limited to around 2 crores, but this film surprised everyone by opening the account with 4 crores on the very first day.

After a good start on the first day, ‘Munjya’ picked up pace at the box office on the second day and a tremendous jump was recorded in the film’s collection. According to trade analyst Sacnilk, this horror-comedy film did a blockbuster business of Rs 7 crore at the box office on the second day. With this, the total earnings of the film have crossed Rs 10 crore.

‘Munjya’ is produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and Amar Kaushik. On Saturday, Maddock Films shared the film’s opening day figures in a post on Instagram. The post also read, ‘This record-breaking collection for a film without an A-list star is a testament to the power of a captivating story and the brilliance of CGI technology. ‘Munjya’ has set the stage for a good box-office collection with a remarkable performance at the box office.’

The lead actress of the film, Sharvari Wagh, shared her reaction on the response the film is getting from the audience in the initial days. According to an ANI report, the actress said, ‘I am very happy to see the response Munjya is getting. We have made this film with a lot of love and hard work and I have been praying since day one that this film is a success’.

Aditya Sarpotdar has directed ‘Munjya’ in collaboration with the makers of ‘Stree’ and ‘Bhediya’. Set in Pune and the Konkan region, this film presents a unique blend of horror and comedy which is surely being liked by the audience.
