TV actor Karan Oberoi recently talked about his relationship with actress Mona Singh during an interview. The actor told that he met Mona Singh in 2006 during the shooting of the TV show ‘Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin’. After dating for some time, both of them broke up. He wanted to marry Mona, but the actress rejected his marriage proposal. Karan has also been accused of rape and extortion, due to which he had to go to jail.
In an interview given to Siddharth Kannan, Karan Oberoi talked about his relationship with Mona Singh. During the conversation, the actor also told that in 2019 he was put in jail on charges of rape and extortion. Then his condition was almost like death. The case against him is still going on.
Talking about his relationship with Mona Singh, Karan Oberoi said, “We met during the shooting of ‘Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin’. We started getting closer as we spent more time with each other on the sets. We broke up after dating for some time. I proposed marriage, but she turned it down. She wanted to focus on her career. Her decision was right.”
Karan Oberoi said- I have no bad feelings for Mona. I couldn’t understand at that time, but I can understand now. It hurts when we want others to be like us. When you don’t expect anything from someone, you won’t judge them and will be happy. When you are young, you don’t understand this and you take it as rejection. She wanted to focus on her career, there was nothing wrong in it. When I understood these things, my pain reduced.
Karan Oberoi was in jail for more than a month on charges of rape and extortion. A woman had claimed that she was raped between January 2017 and February 2018 and said that the actor had promised to marry her. Karan said- My condition in jail was like ‘almost death’. It was the worst phase of my life.
