New Delhi: Mahesh Bhatt recently discussed his daughter Alia Bhatt’s amazing career in the Hindi film industry. He mentioned his daughter’s role which had impressed him a lot. Alia Bhatt is counted among the most talented actresses of her time today. She made her debut a decade ago with Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year’.
When Mahesh Bhatt was asked about his favourite performance of Alia, he told India Today that he found her roles in ‘Udta Punjab’ and ‘Highway’ impressive. He compared her performance in ‘Student of the Year’ to ‘Putla’. He expressed his surprise and said, “I was amazed by Udta Punjab. I couldn’t understand how this girl, who is familiar with our simple family life, managed to capture the accent of a tribal from Chhattisgarh. It was amazing.”

Mahesh Bhatt further said, “Her strength and ability to bare her heart in ‘Highway’ and ‘Udta Punjab’ marks a significant change from her previous role in ‘Student of the Year’. The daughter has grown.” Mahesh Bhatt also noted the profound impact of becoming a mother on Alia’s life in 2022. Alia worked with her father in ‘Sadak 2’, which received poor reviews. In an interview to The Indian Express, Mahesh Bhatt called ‘Sadak 2’ his last film and said, “I have become old.”
