Kriti Sanon raised questions on ‘pay parity’ in Bollywood, bluntly told the makers, said – ’10 times more without any meaning…’

New Delhi, This year has been very wonderful for Kriti Sanon. At the beginning of the year, the actress’s film ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ with Shahid Kapoor was released, which got a tremendous response from the audience. After that, Kriti Sanon was seen in the film ‘Crew’ with Tabu and Kareena Kapoor Khan. This film starring all three women did very well at the box office. ‘Crew’ has earned more than Rs 75 crore at the box office across the country.

Recently, in an interview given to Film Companion, Kriti Sanon spoke openly on ‘pay parity’ in Bollywood. The actress bluntly expressed her opinion on the disparity in fees of actors and actresses in the industry. She says, ‘There is a lot of disparity in the fees of both (actors and actresses) without any reason. Even an actor who has not given a single hit in 10 years gets 10 times more fees.

Producers consider inequality justified
Kriti Sanon said that film producers consider this disparity in fees fair. She says, ‘Many times filmmakers say recovery. Recovery happens through digital and satellite, which happens before the release of a film. On digital and satellite, male-centric films actually perform much better than a film based on a girl and I think that’s where the real difference lies.

There has been no change in the industry
She also claimed that the producers were not willing to invest as much budget in ‘Crew’, which has three A-list female actors, as they wanted to invest in an entertaining comedy with three male actors. According to Kriti Sanon, nothing has changed in the industry even after 6 years of the release of ‘Veere Di Wedding’.
