Kriti-Kareena’s ‘Crew’ beats ‘The Dirty Picture’, becomes 8th highest grossing female centric film

New Delhi. Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Tabu’s film ‘Crew’, released on March 29, has received tremendous response from the audience. The story of this film with three lead actresses and the strong acting of the actors was successful in drawing the audience to the theatres. Now this film has achieved an important milestone in the sixth week. In terms of earnings, Kareena-Kriti and Tabu’s ‘Crew’ has left behind Vidya Balan’s film ‘The Dirty Picture’ which was released 13 years ago.

Vidya Balan starrer ‘The Dirty Picture’ was till now the 8th highest grossing female-oriented film in India, but now ‘Crew’ has overtaken it and achieved this position. ‘Crew’ left ‘The Dirty Picture’ behind with a total earning of Rs 80 crores and even now this film has a strong foothold at the box office.

‘Crew’ has earned well at the box office across the country as well as abroad. This film made a huge earning of Rs 29.92 crore at the North American ticket window. The 3 actress starrer film was facing tremendous competition at the box office since the fourth week of its release, but despite all this the film was successful in earning good money.

Kriti’s two films back-to-back became hits
Although the success of ‘Crew’ is very special for all the three actresses Kriti, Kareena and Tabu, but Kriti is enjoying the success of the film more because it is her second hit film of this year. Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor’s film ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, released in the month of February, was also loved by the audience.
