Recently, the audio launch event of Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film ‘Indian 2’ was hosted in Chennai. The film’s director Shankar, actress Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Brahmanandam, Gulshan Grover and music composer Anirudh Ravichander also attended the event.
Kamal Haasan himself made a grand entry in this event. During this, he talked about the film as well as politics on stage.

Kamal asked what it means to be an Indian in today’s times. He also spoke about the age-old policy of ‘divide and rule’ and questioned why a Tamilian should not rule the country?
Praised Shankar and Subhashkaran
Kamal started his speech by praising director Shankar. He said that usually in the South, after an actor rejects a film, no director approaches him again with the film but Shankar is not one of them.
Regarding the producer of the film ‘Indian 2’, Subhash Karan, Kamal said that he has not even seen a glimpse of the film yet but he has full faith in us.

‘There won’t even be a home to return to’
Finally, while talking about politics, Kamal said, ‘The British policy of divide and rule will not work in this country anymore. The British had their own home to return to after their policy failed. But if the people living here try to do something like this, then they should remember that they will not have any place to return to.’
Bollywood actress Mouni Roy performed a dance in the event.
‘We know when to keep quiet and when not to’
Kamal further said- ‘I am a Tamilian first and then an Indian. This is my identity and yours too. A Tamilian knows when to keep quiet and when not to.
I have said something about this before and I have gotten into trouble. But now I don’t worry about it because I have to hit the nail on the head.
So, here it is… why shouldn’t a day come when a Tamilian rules India? Just think, we made India’s first woman Prime Minister (Indira Gandhi became PM with the support of the then Congress President K. Kamaraj). Now we will make this happen too.
Music composer Anirudh Ravichander also gave a stage performance.
Apart from Kamal, actors like Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh and Siddharth will also be seen in Shankar directed ‘Indian 2’. It is scheduled to release on July 12.
