Director Imtiaz Ali is very impressed with yesteryear actress Madhubala. He often talks about the actress during his interviews. Recently, during a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, he called Madhubala his favourite actress. Recently, during an interview, Imtiaz also narrated an anecdote related to shooting at Madhubala’s house.

Imtiaz Ali told YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia in an interview that Madhubala’s ghost lives in her bungalow. Imtiaz Ali said- Once I shot in Madhubala’s bungalow. I was told that Madhubala’s ghost lives in that bungalow. I used to stand in a corner in the dark at night and wonder whether Madhubala’s ghost would come or not. I remember that feeling very well. I did not have fear inside me, but a feeling of awe and romanticism.

However, Imtiaz Ali also clarified that he does not believe in ghosts and spirits. Imtiaz Ali shared a picture on social media on the 89th birth anniversary of the late actress and wrote – I shot at night in her old bungalow in the hope of seeing her ghost.
