These days Manoj Bajpayee is busy promoting his film. Meanwhile, he revealed how much fee he had received for his first film.

During an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Manoj Bajpayee said, ‘I got my first film while doing theatre, and that was Bandit Queen. I got fees of around Rs 35 thousand to Rs 50 thousand. I had a small role in ‘Drohkaal’ because by the time I approached director Govind Nihalani, casting for all the big roles had been done. I wanted to work with him, so I played a small role and was given Rs 2,000 to work in the film.

Ram Gopal Varma was searching for Manoj Bajpayee
Manoj Bajpayee told that after the success of ‘Bandit Queen’, he met Ram Gopal Varma through a friend to get a role in the film ‘Daud’. However, when Manoj met the filmmaker, he came to know that he was already very impressed by his performance in ‘Bandit Queen’ and had been looking for him for many years.
