The actress believes that before the role of Faridan in the web series Hiramandi, no one took her seriously.

Sonakshi Sinha said in an interview to Bollywood Bubble, ‘I am very happy that someone imagined me. Sanjay sir saw me in that kind of role. I am really grateful to him. Also, I have been saying for a long time that I am interested in playing negative or villain characters. Until he cast me in the role of Faridan, no one took me seriously. So I am really grateful to him. As an actress, it is great to take such challenges and do something different. How long will you play the role of a common girl, girlfriend, loving wife? It was very fun for me to play that kind of role.’
