Mumbai. India-Pakistan war is going on in the year 1965. A 21 year old brave soldier has attacked the enemies with a gun in his hand. In the retaliatory fire, the soldier gets hit by 9 bullets and falls to the ground. This transformed soldier, who was riddled with 9 bullets, loses consciousness, but his enthusiasm remains intact. He is admitted to the hospital and this warrior defies time and stands up.
There is only a bridge of enthusiasm between losing memory and regaining consciousness. In this battle, the soldier loses his arms and legs, but his passion remains alive. One day, this same enthusiasm makes India win gold in swimming in an international competition and becomes happy considering the tune of the national anthem as the result of hard work.
The story is based on the life of Murlikant Patekar.
Now ‘Karthik Aryan’ is bringing the real story of this soldier’s life on screen. ‘Chandu Champion’, the biggest film of Kartik Aryan’s career so far, is releasing on June 14. This story is based on the real life story of ‘Murlikant Patekar’.
Kartik Aryan is also waiting for a hit film for 2 years. Kartik’s film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, released on 20 May 2022, was a blockbuster. The film had earned more than Rs 200 crore. After this, ‘Freddy’, ‘Shehzada’ and ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ could not show any special wonders. Now Karthik is eagerly waiting for the release of this film with director ‘Kabir Khan’.
Will the magic of director Kabir Khan also be seen?
Director Kabir Khan also has a different magic. Instead of hollow emotions, Kabir Khan takes you to a different world of emotions through action. Earlier, Kabir Khan has proved this with superhit films like ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. Now the story of Chandu Champion is also in the hands of Kabir Khan. The story has powerful twists and turns.
The story will take you on a journey through the life of one such soldier, ‘Murlikant Patekar’, born in Sangli village of Maharashtra in 1944. Who played wrestling in his childhood and became the best wrestler of the village. After this, at the age of 18, he joined the Indian Army and took the responsibility of the security of his country on his shoulders. At the age of 21, Muralikant saved six of the enemies in the India-Pakistan war in 1965. In this war, his body was pierced by 9 enemy bullets. Not only this, in this war a truck passed through his feet.
Lost consciousness but remained enthusiastic
Murlikant Patekar lost consciousness but his enthusiasm remained intact. The body riddled with 9 bullets was admitted to the hospital by fellow soldiers. Was treated here, even lost his memory. But one day during treatment he fell from the bed and his memory came back. But even after facing 9 bullets in his body, this soldier looked death in the eyes and refused to die. Everything was fine back then but the lower torso of the body did not work.
After this returned home. Here he started working in Tata company and worked for 30 years. Earlier in 1972, Muralikant won India’s first gold medal in Paralympics. In swimming, Muralikant made India proud by winning in 37.33 seconds. In 2018, the Government of India honored Murlikant Patekar with ‘Padmashree Award’. Now Chandu Champion, a film based on the life of Murlikant Patekar, is being released on June 14. This is also a big opportunity for Karthik Aryan. Sajid Nadiadwala is producing the film.
