Ghatkopar accident: 2 bodies taken out from under the hoarding after 3 days… When identified, a wave of mourning ran in Bollywood.

Mumbai. The death toll in the hoarding accident in Ghatkopar, Maharashtra has reached 16. As soon as this hoarding that had fallen on the petrol pump was removed, bodies were found from it. When two bodies were found inside the car from under this hoarding, there was a wave of mourning in Bollywood, because the deceased husband and wife were related to famous Bollywood actors. It is being told that the body whose body was taken out from under the hoarding was that of a retired Air Traffic Control (ATC) manager and his wife. Both of them were among the 16 people who died when a 250-tonne hoarding fell on them during the severe dust storm that hit Mumbai on Monday.

The bodies of retired ATC manager Manoj Chansoria, 60, and his wife Anita, 59, were found inside their car on Wednesday night after a 100-foot hoarding collapsed on top of a petrol pump in east Mumbai. He was among 100 other people trapped under the debris after a huge hoarding collapsed on a petrol pump. Chansoria had retired as general manager of Mumbai ATC in March this year and the couple had moved to Jabalpur.

Stopped at petrol pump to fill petrol
Police said Chansoria was in Mumbai for a few days to complete his visa formalities. He told that the couple was going back to Jabalpur after completing their work and had stopped to fill petrol at Ghatkopar pump when the storm hit. The couple was about to return to Jabalpur from Mumbai via Indore when at around 4:30 pm, they stopped at a petrol pump in Pant Nagar on the Eastern Express Highway to fill petrol in the car. Then his car got hit by HR 26 EL 9373 hoarding.

2 bodies were recovered after 3 days
It is being told that the two bodies which were taken out after 3 days are relatives of Kartik Aryan, former director of Indore Airport Manoj Chansoria and his wife Anita Chansoria. Both of them lived in Mariam Chowk located in Civil Lines of Jabalpur. The dead bodies of both were taken out about 56 hours after the accident. On Thursday afternoon, Karthik Aryan along with his family had reached Sahara crematorium for the last rites.

16 people died in the accident
So far 16 people have died in this tragic accident and 41 others have been seriously injured. Of those rescued, 34 have survived and have been discharged from various hospitals in Mumbai after treatment. After all the bodies were removed from the debris, the search and rescue operation at the collapse site has been stopped. While the Brihanmumbai Corporation does not allow hoardings larger than 40×40 feet, this hoarding was three times larger, spanning 120×120 feet and weighing 250 tonnes. Since the city is near the sea, it is vulnerable to high-speed winds. Any such large structure built close to the coast poses a danger.

A case of culpable homicide has been registered against Bhavesh Bhinde, owner of the advertising agency that installed the billboards. There are more than 20 police cases registered against Bhinde, including one case of rape. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the families of those killed in the tragedy and also said that the government will bear the expenses of the treatment of those injured.
