Mumbai Police has made the fifth arrest in the conspiracy to attack Salman Khan again. 30-year-old Deepak Gogalia alias Johnny Valmiki has been arrested by the police in Rajasthan.

According to sources, after the firing incident in front of Salman Khan’s house, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang had hatched a conspiracy to attack the actor again. According to the information received, these people were planning to attack Salman’s car in Panvel.

On last Saturday, Navi Mumbai Police had already arrested four people of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang in this case. The four accused have been identified as Dhananjay alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nhai, Waspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna and Zeeshan Khan alias Javed Khan.

A case has been registered against them under sections 115, 120 (B), 506 of the IPC. The police have registered an FIR against a total of 18 people including Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi, Goldie Brar.

The search for 10 to 12 accused is ongoing
Last Saturday afternoon, the police gave new information in a press conference on this matter. Panvel Zone 2 DCP Vivek Pansare said- ‘We had received some information about the planning of Salman Khan’s murder. After gathering a lot of information, we got added to the social media group associated with Lawrence Bishnoi and after joining the group, we kept collecting information from there.

Then on 24 April we arrested 4 people. Chikna shooter was arrested from Bengaluru. The search for 10-12 accused is still on in the case.

On this matter, the police also informed that Lawrence Bishnoi gang was planning to kill Salman with a Turkish made Zigana pistol. Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was also murdered with this pistol.

There was a plan to get many dangerous weapons from Pakistan
According to the police, the four accused were also planning to procure weapons from suppliers in Pakistan for the attack. According to media reports, the attackers were trying to procure AK-47, M-16 and AK-92.

They had also conducted a recce of the actor’s farm house and several shooting spots including Goregaon Film City. The police have recovered several such videos from their mobile phones. Several phones and SIM cards have also been recovered.

These four had done a recce of Salman’s house and farmhouse. Out of these, Ajay Kashyap had contacted a person named Dogar living in Pakistan through video call. He was going to get AK-47 from there to attack Salman.

The accused were also in contact with gangster Anandpal’s daughter
The arrested accused were plotting to kill Salman Khan and the police has solid evidence regarding this. According to the police, all the arrested accused were also in contact with gangster Anandpal’s daughter.
Police have also expressed the apprehension that the four could have used their followers on social media to carry out this murder.
Ajay Kashyap is the one who played the role of co-ordinator among all the accused. Ajay was also involved in arms smuggling. The angle related to Pakistan is also being investigated.

Apart from this, the police had also received information that around 60 to 70 henchmen of Lawrence Bishnoi and Sampat Nehra gang coming from Mumbai, Raigad, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Gujarat are keeping an eye on Salman Khan.

They were planning to attack Salman through minors. After the attack, their plan was to flee from Kanyakumari to Sri Lanka via boat.

Anmol Bishnoi had taken responsibility for the incident
Lawrence’s brother Anmol Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the incident on social media on the same day of the incident. Two days after the attack, both the attackers were arrested from Gujarat.

During interrogation of the shooters, both of them had confessed to getting the contract for this work from Lawrence gang. Mumbai Crime Branch has made Bishnoi brothers accused in this case and now it is preparing to question Lawrence. Lawrence is currently lodged in Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat.

When did Salman receive threats before this?

  • In June 2022, when Salman’s father Salim Khan returned home after going for a morning walk, he found an anonymous letter in which he and Salman were threatened with death. The letter read – ‘Salman Khan will make you like Moosewala.’ After this, Salim Khan contacted the police with the help of his security personnel and a case was registered in this regard at Bandra police station.
  • Last year, Mumbai Police had arrested the person who had threatened to kill Salman over the phone. The person who had threatened was a 16-year-old minor. He had called Mumbai Police and told them his name was Rocky Bhai. He said that he is a resident of Jodhpur in Rajasthan and will kill Salman on 30th April.
  • Last year itself, Dhakadram, a resident of Jodhpur, had sent 3 emails to Salman’s official mail. It was written in it that Salman Khan, you are next, as soon as you come to Jodhpur, you will be killed like Sidhu Moosewala.
  • In January 2024, two unknown people tried to enter Salman Khan’s farmhouse by breaking the fencing wires. When the police caught them, both of them said that they were Salman’s fans. Fake Aadhar cards were recovered from them. Due to this, an FIR has also been registered against both of them. Salman Khan is on the target of Lawrence gang.
