Actor-director Farhan Akhtar has recently revealed that he went into depression after the film Lakshya flopped. It took him about 1.5 years to come out of it.
Farhan also said that since childhood he was taught that hard work pays off and he thought this film would be a hit. However, it didn’t happen.
Let us tell you, the film Lakshya was directed by Farhan Akhtar. Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta were in the lead roles in the film.
Farhan did not get success even after working hard
In an interview with Raj Shamani, Farhan shared his experience of his first flop film. He told that after the success of his first film Dil Chahta Hai, he thought about working on the next project. He told that he did not work hard during his first film. But he worked very hard during the making of the film Lakshya, yet it flopped.
He said- I have been hearing since childhood that if you work hard with all your heart, you will definitely get rewarded. However, this film did not do as well as I had worked hard. Unfortunately, this film was not successful at the box office.
It took 1.5 years to get out of depression
Farhan further told that he went into depression due to the failure of the film. He said- When this film was released and did not earn well, I became sad. I started thinking how could this happen. I had worked so hard. I was so devastated by this that I went into depression and it took me 1.5 years to come out of it.
During the conversation, Farhan also talked about the upcoming film Don 3. He said that he is eagerly waiting for this film. Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani are in the lead roles in this film.
Earlier, he had revealed in an interview to Pinkvilla that the shooting of the film Don 3 will start next year.
