Exclusive: Politics heated up due to FIR on Kangana’s ‘slap’, complaint reads- ‘Kulwinder Kaur was pushed…’

New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut’s slapping incident has heated up the atmosphere of Bollywood as well as politics. While the actress’ opponents are justifying the actions of the CISF constable, even staunch opponents like Shabana Azmi are speaking in justification. Without getting entangled in Kangana’s pros and cons, let us look at the FIR in which the incident has been mentioned in detail.

News18 has got a copy of the FIR of Kangana’s ‘slap incident’, in which it is claimed that CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur stopped the newly-elected MP Kangana Ranaut at Mohali airport and slapped her. The FIR has been registered on the complaint of the CISF inspector who escorted Kangana Ranaut to the airport.

Inspector Surendra Kumar Sharma has told Punjab Police in his complaint that Kulwinder Kaur came out of the checking booth and slapped Kangana Ranaut. The complaint also states that a female police constable pushed Kulwinder Kaur to save Kangana Ranaut. It is written in the FIR that Kangana Ranaut was being escorted by four people, including a CISF inspector, 2 female policemen and Vistara Airlines staff.

The FIR details, ‘On June 6, Kangana Ranaut (actress and newly elected MP from Mandi Himachal Pradesh) was travelling from Chandigarh to Delhi by Vistara flight number UK-707 (STD-1545hrs). At around 15.26 pm, she completed the pre-flight security check formalities with the assistance of CISF SHA Inspector (Surendra Kumar Sharma, Inspector/Executive), CISF Lady Officer (Constable Suneet Kumar), Local Police Lady Officer (Lady Constable Veerpal Kaur) and airlines staff.’

The FIR, filed on the basis of Surinder Kumar Sharma’s complaint, further states, “After security checking, they were proceeding towards the boarding gate at around 15.28 hrs and in the meanwhile, CISF lady constable Kulwinder Kaur, who was also posted at Domestic SHA (equivalent to lady frisking booth), came out of the frisking booth and slapped Kangana Ranaut. Lady constable Kulwinder Kaur was pushed towards the frisking booth by lady constable Veerpal Kaur. Later, Kangana Ranaut left the PESC point and proceeded for her flight. In this regard, it is requested to register an FIR against CISF lady constable/GO Kulwinder Kaur for misbehaving with Miss Kangana Ranaut.”

After checking the CCTV footage of the incident, the police said that Kulwinder Kaur stopped Kangana and slapped her and also misbehaved with her. A video of Kulwinder Kaur has also surfaced from the airport, in which she is talking to the passenger about the reason for slapping Kangana. The constable replied, ‘Kangana had said that women have joined the farmers’ movement for a hundred rupees each. When she gave this statement, my mother was sitting in protest. Was Kangana sitting in the movement?’ Talking about films, you will soon see Kangana Ranaut in the film ‘Emergency’.
