Hema Malini encouraged Vinesh

You are our heroine of this Olympics. Don’t lose courage – you are made for great achievements and you have a bright future ahead of you! Just move forward bravely.’

Vinesh Phogat retired
Vinesh Phogat had expressed her disappointment on social media after the disqualification. She told about her decision to retire on social media and said that she no longer has the strength to move forward. In a post dedicated to her mother Premlata, Vinesh Phogat wrote, ‘Maa wrestling won, I lost. Forgive me, your dreams and my courage, everything is broken. I no longer have the strength. Goodbye wrestling 2001-2024. I will remain indebted to all of you. Please forgive me.’
