Demand for Bharat Ratna for Ramoji Rao, SS Rajamouli listed his achievements, Rajinikanth said- ‘He created history in cinema’

Mumbai. Ramoji Rao, chairman of Ramoji Group, died on Saturday morning. He breathed his last at the age of 87 in a hospital in Hyderabad. A wave of mourning has spread after the news of his death. Many celebrities from politics to Bollywood industry expressed condolences. Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli expressed grief over the death of Ramoji Rao and demanded Bharat Ratna for him.

SS Rajamouli wrote on X, “One man gave employment, livelihood and hope to millions of people through his 50 years of determination, hard work and innovation. The only way to pay tribute to Ramoji Rao is to honour him with Bharat Ratna.”

Meanwhile, Tamil megastar Rajinikanth said, “I am deeply saddened to hear the news of the demise of my guru and well-wisher Ramoji Rao, a man who created history in journalism, cinema and became a kingmaker in politics. He was the guide and inspiration of my life, may his soul rest in peace.”

Actor Ravi Teja wrote, “Ramoji Rao transformed journalism with his vision. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. May his soul rest in peace.” Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi posted a post in Telugu on Twitter, “Ramoji Rao was like a mountain who never bowed down to anyone. Om Shanti.”

Kangana Ranaut also expressed grief

Actress and newly elected MP from Mandi Kangana Ranaut shared a picture of Ramoji Rao on Instagram story and wrote, “A titan of Indian cinema, his influence on journalism, film and entertainment created a legacy, Ramoji Rao ji’s work and passion for India’s development will always be remembered. Om Shanti.”

Tamil actress Kajal Aggarwal tweeted, “Deeply saddened by the demise of Ramoji Rao. My heartfelt condolences to his family in this difficult time. His legacy will continue to inspire many. May his soul rest in peace. Om Shanti.”

Actor and film producer Vishnu Manchu wrote on Twitter: “Deeply saddened by the demise of Ramoji Rao. I had the good fortune of meeting him, it was a great achievement of my life. His wisdom, courage and righteousness left an indelible mark on me. He was always supportive of the film industry. He built an empire that set unmatched standards in journalism and entertainment. Today, there is a void in the hearts of Telugu people and all those who knew about his immense contribution. India has lost one of its greatest media giants. His legacy will always inspire us.”

Ramoji Rao was born in Andhra Pradesh

Let us tell you that Ramoji Rao was born on 16 November 1936 in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. He started Telugu Daily Eenadu from Visakhapatnam on 10 August 1974. In a short time it became a leading newspaper. He was awarded the country’s second highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan in 2016 for his contribution to journalism, literature and education.
