Deepika Padukone had an injury in her feet, she was having severe pain again and again, still she shot for 11 days

New Delhi. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s pairing in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela’ (2013) was in the news. Sharad Kelkar played the villain in this film and his acting was much talked about. Recently Sharad Kelkar told how he shot a Garba sequence for a song in the film after knee surgery. Along with this, he revealed that despite being injured herself at that time, Deepika Padukone helped him learn the steps.

During an interview with Filmygyan, Sharad Kelkar said, ‘I respect Deepika a lot. At that time I had knee surgery and we were shooting for Lahu Munh Lag Gaya. I had to do Garba while sitting. My physio told me that you cannot sit because you have just had surgery. You cannot bend below 90 degrees. I was not able to do that.’

He shot for 11 days with his feet taped
He further said, ‘Sanjay (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) sir is a perfectionist. He said do as much as you can. I was not able to understand the steps, but Deepika was dancing barefoot despite her feet being injured. She tied tape and shot in pain for 11 days. I remember there was one step which I was not able to understand. It happens sometimes that you go blank. You are watching but you are not able to understand. It was lunch time at that time. Deepika stayed back and taught me the step. She said you can. I will teach you. Somehow I did that step.’

Sharad Kelkar will be seen in this film
Talking about the work front, Sharad Kelkar was last seen in the Indian film ‘Shrikant’, in which he shared the screen with Rajkumar Rao and Jyothika.
