There is also an anecdote related to Ramanand Sagar. Once he approached Rajkumar with the story of one of his films. This film was ‘Aankhen’. Ramanand Sagar wanted to cast him in his film, but Rajkumar did not like the story of the film. Instead of refusing outright, he called his trained dog and asked, ‘Will you do this role? His trained dog looked at him and shook its head.’ On this Rajkumar said, ‘Look, even my dog will not do this.’ After this Ramanand Sagar got angry with Raj Kumar and never worked together again.
