TV actor Arjun Bijlani has recently become a victim of cyber fraud. After the credit card was hacked, about Rs 40 thousand were withdrawn from his account. As soon as the cyber fraud was detected, he informed his bank and his card was blocked. If Arjun had not taken the right steps in time, a big fraud could have happened to him.
Recently, in a conversation with Hindustan Times, Arjun Bijlani talked about the fraud that happened to him. Arjun Bijlani has told, I had my credit card with me while I was working out in the gym. During a short break I checked my phone. There were many messages in it, in which it was written that my credit card has been swapped. Money was being withdrawn every minute. My wife also has a supplementary card, so I asked her if she had used the card. It was obvious that the card details had been leaked and we had no idea how this happened.
He further said, This accident was an eye opener for me. Many people do not open every message coming from the bank, but I have realized that it is important to read those messages. Luckily I saw those messages and by then the money had been withdrawn 7-8 times. Every time Rs 3 or 5 thousand were withdrawn. In this way Rs 40 thousand were withdrawn from my credit card. My credit card limit is Rs 10-12 lakh. In such a situation, if I had not checked the phone, there could have been a huge loss.
