Expressing gratitude on the occasion of the film completing 40 years of its release, the actor wrote, “It’s been 40 years in cinema.”

Anupam Kher further wrote, “And it is still going on. My first film ‘Saaransh’ was released on this day, 25 May 1984. My directorial debut ‘Tanvi the Great’ is my 541st film. May God, my producers, directors and audience’s love always remain with me. I have accepted my success and failure. Just like I did 40 years ago, even today I am on the creative journey with the same style.”

Anupam Kher further wrote, “Thank you Mahesh Bhatt sahab and Rajshri Productions for giving me my first chance. I don’t believe in looking back. That’s why I haven’t looked back since 25 May 1984. I am not a legend, thespian or veteran yet. I am a newcomer every day. Because of the calendar, years get added automatically. Thank you for your love, support and blessings.”
