Before the release of the film, Annu Kapoor met Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde along with the director and producer regarding the threats and demanded security.

Talking to the media, actor Annu Kapoor said, “We met the honorable Chief Minister regarding ‘Humare Barah’. The film’s director Kamal Chandra, producer Raghuvir Gupta, Virendra Bhagat, Sanjay Nagpal and all the actors of the film, including me… are getting death threats and threats of beheading.”
