Annu Kapoor is scared after the film’s cast and crew have been receiving death and rape threats from unknown people, he has sought protection from the police. At the same time, the actor has requested people to avoid taking hasty decisions based only on the film’s teaser.

Annu Kapoor has sought protection from Mumbai Police after the cast and crew of his upcoming film ‘Humare Barah’ received rape and death threats on social media. Not only this, a National Congress worker has also said that the film has hurt the sentiments of the Muslim community.

Annu Kapoor said- do not take decision in haste
Amidst the growing protests, the actor has shared a video and requested people to avoid making hasty decisions based only on the teaser of the film. Annu Kapoor said that this film is based on a socially important issue. The actor said in the video, ‘The film advocates women empowerment and talks about women’s rights. First watch the film and then give your decision. People have the freedom to express their views on social media, but they should not abuse. Do not abuse or threaten to kill. We will not be afraid of these things.’

Appeal to provide ‘proper security’
He also urged the Maharashtra Police and the Home Ministry to provide ‘adequate security’ to everyone associated with the film. Annu Kapoor said, ‘We have made an issue-based film to talk about women empowerment. It talks about the issue of increasing population and our intention is not to hurt the sentiments of any caste or community.’

NCP workers are also angry
At the same time, in Washim, Maharashtra, the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar) has made a request against this film and demanded to stop the release of the film and ban it. In Karanja city of the district, on the letterhead of the District President of the Nationalist Congress Party, people of the Muslim community also demanded from the District Officer that action should also be taken against the director and team of the film. A worker of the Nationalist Party said that this film has been made on Muslims, due to which the sentiments of the Muslim community have been hurt.

The name of the film has been changed
Let us tell you that on Monday itself the makers announced that the title of the film is being changed on the instructions of the censor board. Earlier the title was ‘Hum Do Hamare Barah’ but now it has been changed to ‘Humare Barah’. This film is going to be released in theatres on 7 June.
