In his recent interview, he sarcastically said that today’s audience only wants to watch films like ‘Jawaan’ and RRR.

While talking to PTI, Boney claimed that he had thought of bringing a very good film story on screen. He said- The subject we chose was amazing, and our actor (Ajay Devgan) was also excellent, but somehow we could not understand the demand of the audience. Today’s audience wants to watch action films like RRR, ‘Jawaan’ and ‘Pathan’.

films flopped continuously
Let us tell you, after the huge success of Shahrukh Khan’s Pathan, Jawan and Animal last year, Bollywood films continuously proved to be flops in terms of success at the box office. There was hope of recovery from this recession with two big films in the month of April – ‘Maidan’ and ‘Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan’. But both the films released on Eid failed at the box office. On the other hand, two Malayalam films released on Eid, ‘Aavesham’ and ‘Varshangalakku Shesham’ performed brilliantly.
