Mumbai. Veteran actor Chandrakant of Telugu TV industry has been found dead in his house. Allegedly he committed suicide. People fondly called Chandrakant as Chandu. Chandu allegedly committed suicide six days after the death of co-actor Pavitra Jayaram. Patriva died in a road accident in Mahabubnagar, Telangana. She was in a car and Chandrakant was also with her. Chandrakant was injured in this accident. He was devastated by Pavitra’s departure. Chandrakant and Pavitra gained popularity from the TV show ‘Trinayani’.
Chandrakant allegedly took his own life at his house in Alkapur under Narsingi police station. According to the report of The Hindu, Narsingi police station in-charge G. Hari Krishna Reddy said, “The building watchman and a friend of Chandrakant had complained on dial 100, after which the police found the body late in the evening.”
Tv actress Pavitra Jayaram died in a road accident, she was traveling by car with her sister and actor, the bus hit her.
Chandrakant committed suicide due to personal reasons: Police
The police officer further said, “Chandrakant took his life due to some personal reason and we have not found anything suspicious at the spot yet, but the investigation is ongoing.” Police have registered a case under section 174 (suspicious death) of CrPC. The officer said that the body has been sent for postmortem and further investigation in the matter is going on.
Road accident affected Chandrakant
Chandrakant was reportedly in the car during the tragic road accident in which Pavitra lost her life. It seems that witnessing a road accident and losing his dear friend had a deep impact on him. In a recent interview, Chandrakant revealed that he and Pavitra Jayaram had planned to take their relationship a step further after the Bengaluru tour.
