New Delhi. Before debuting as a director, Vikram Bhatt was an assistant director of films like ‘Agneepath’, ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’ and ‘Junoon’. He worked with Mahesh Bhatt and Shekhar Kapur. He made many horror films like ‘Raaz’. He directed many films like ‘Awara Pagal Deewana’, ‘Deewane Huye Pagal’, ‘Ankahi’ and ‘Raaz 3D’. He took charge of many multi-starrer films. In an interview given to News18 Shosha, he said that the fights between actresses on the film set bothered him the most.
Vikram Bhatt said, “Before becoming a director, I worked as an assistant for 10 years. There were no makeup vans at that time. I have done many films with 2 actresses and none of them was worried about what she would wear in a scene, but they were always worried about what the other one was wearing. They would say – well, is this my outfit? What is she wearing? What is her hairstyle?”
Vikram Bhatt told that actresses used to secretly change their lipstick color and eyeshadow shades. This bothered him initially but with time he realized that he needs to make the actresses comfortable in their look and if they are not comfortable, they cannot act. In such a situation, the director gets affected.
Vikram Bhatt is happy that nothing like this happened on the sets of his recently released film ‘Bloody Ishq’. Avika Gor is in the lead role in the film. Vikram is working with Avika for the second time in the film ‘1920: Horrors of the Heart’. He praised Avika’s behavior on the set. He said, “She is not arrogant. I don’t remember her asking me even once if the outfit or hairstyle can be changed.”
