The External Affairs Minister was answering questions at the launch program of the Bengali version of his book ‘Why India Matters’ in Kolkata on Tuesday. Jaishankar said, “The western media wants to see only certain people taking over the power of the country and when it does not happen, they do not like it. They openly support certain people in their election coverage.
Western media has been playing the game of dominance for the last 300 years. They are experienced and clever people. They start spreading negative things about India because India is not ready to follow their beliefs.”

‘People are being tortured in PoK while development is taking place in Jammu and Kashmir’

‘America has also praised Chabahar project’
