Salman Khan firing case: The accused told the police, ‘Did not know till the weapon was found that…’

Mumbai. The two accused arrested for firing outside the Mumbai residence of Bollywood actor Salman Khan were not aware of their target until the weapons and bullets were supplied to his rented house in Panvel. A police officer gave this information on Wednesday citing the investigation conducted so far. Alleged attackers Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, residents of Bihar, had opened fire outside Salman’s house in Galaxy Apartment in Bandra on April 14. Both the attackers were arrested from Gujarat within 48 hours. Both are in judicial custody till May 27.

The officer said that during the interrogation of the two, the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police found that Pal and Gupta had been assigned the task of firing by Anmol Bishnoi, younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, but both of them had no idea about this till they got the weapons. That they have to fire in front of Salman Khan’s house.

Debate was going on in the Supreme Court, suddenly SG Tushar Mehta said – ‘If Kejriwal would not have been arrested…’

According to the officer, Pal was recruited into the Lawrence Bishnoi gang by a person named Ankit. Pal and Ankit used to play cricket together and eventually they became friends. Pal was later connected to a WhatsApp group by Ankit. A few days later, Ankit told Pal about a task for which the gang needed another person. He told that after this the second attacker Gupta was included in the group.

The officer said that Ankit asked both of them to go to Mumbai to complete the work and promised to give a good amount in return. He told that both the attackers were being instructed by a person living abroad on the instructions of Anmol Bishnoi. According to the officer, both of them were initially given Rs 30,000 and were asked to go to Mumbai in October last year and find a house on rent near Panvel, where Salman has a farmhouse.
