‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ actor Gurcharan Singh has been missing for the last three weeks. He left for Mumbai from his home in Delhi on 22 April. But, he neither reached the airport nor returned to his home. There has been no information about him since then. Delhi Police is investigating the matter.
According to Gurucharan’s close friend Bhakti Soni, the actor was unwell for some time. He was also admitted to the hospital. Besides, it was also claimed in some media reports that Gurucharan was struggling with financial crisis. However, Gurucharan’s father Hargeet Singh has no information about this.
I also came to know about the financial crisis from media reports.
In an interview given to Dainik Bhaskar, Hargeet Singh said, ‘Whenever I used to talk to my son, he always used to say that he was fine. He never told me about his ill health. I also came to know about the financial crisis from media reports. Guru had never told me about facing financial difficulties. Yes, this time when Gurucharan came home, he looked upset. But, there was never any discussion with him about this.
I want to see my son at any cost
He further said, ‘I am old, my health is not good. I am tired of waiting for my son to come. I just want to see my son at any cost. Wherever Guru is, I pray that he returns as soon as possible. We are also in constant touch with the police. He has assured that he will give an update about the Guru in a day or two. I hope whatever information they give is positive. Our last conversation with Guru was on April 21.
Went missing on April 22, 2024
Let us tell you, Gurucharan Singh went missing on April 22, 2024. On April 27, police had learned from CCTV footage that the actor was in Delhi’s Palam area at 9:14 pm on April 22, after which he went missing.
Recently, Delhi Police reached the sets of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ and interrogated people. They interrogated Gurcharan Singh’s former co-stars and tried to find out their whereabouts.
During investigation, the police also came to know that Gurucharan Singh was continuously using the credit card. He was using more than 10 bank accounts. According to media reports, he had withdrawn Rs 14,000 from an ATM.
